Brief History

World War II was a global war. The Second World War started in the year 1939 and ended in the year 1945 (Overy, 2005). The war lasted for seven years. The war included a majority of the countries including all the superpowers. Some of the reasons that had led to the war were the takeover of power in Germany by Adolf Hitler where he ordered that the Jews be killed for the mere fact that they were Jews and that he did not like them. There was the fascism that had been occurring in the Italian’s territory since the 1920’s; there was the issue of communism that was ongoing in Russia.
