Before beginning this assignment, let’s review the source requirements for this paper:
You need a total of at least 6 sources, more if desired
Two of these sources should be peer-reviewed articles from academic journals;
the other four may be popular sources if that seems appropriate and helpful for your topic,
You should evaluate their reliability according to the standards discussed in class (CRAAP test), and use them accordingly
One of your 6 sources will be your “spark” source—that is, it will be your reference for the exigence that motivated your research and with which you will begin the essay
Do not use encyclopedias or dictionaries; these are reliable, but still rather weak sources for research papers; this includes Wikipedia! (but remember that Wikipedia can still be used for exploratory research, and can often provide links to more reliable sources).
