One of the primary reasons people go tohospitals atall is always so they can access an environment suitable enough to facilitate healing. As long as the hospital environment does not increase the chances that an individual recoversfrom a particular health issue, then it would be ineffective in its mandate to the patients. Nonetheless, research indicates that more than 2.5 billion Americans have experienced some form of pressure ulcersduring their stay in healthcare facilities (Berlowitz et al., 2012).
