Introduction
Every professional career especially where a person has to interact with clients has ethical issues that generally have to be followed. In psychotherapy and counseling, this is no exception. There is the counselor ethical boundaries and practices that govern the relationship between the counselors and the patients. Ethical issues being a problem or situation where a person has to choose between what is moral (right) and what is unethical (wrong) as they are the only alternatives that are to be used (Welfel, 2015). In psychotherapy, therefore, the ethical rules and issues that arise during the interactions between the patient and the counselor. In counseling situations, the main ethics that have to be kept include respect between the different traditions, cultures, and religions that a client belongs.
