Business Intelligence

Business intelligence (BI) refers to the applications and technologies employed in the collection, evaluation, presentation, and integration of business data into companies’ operations. These aspects imply the major objective of the BI is to facilitate better decision-making in business enterprises. This is because the management teams’ decisions are based on the comprehensive analysis of their companies’ sales, customer feedbacks, and revenue. Therefore, the BI systems are driven by the Decision Support Systems (DDS), which are data-driven (Scheps, 2008).
