Learning Goal: I’m working on a communications discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

Being polite often involves being deceptive. Is deception justified if it is done to spare someone’s feelings? Give an example of a time that you lied to someone, believing that lying was the right thing to do so they wouldn’t get hurt. How did that make you feel?
