Purpose: To network with practicing consumer health librarians, information providers or educators. To hear first-hand about the information sources used on a daily basis.

Instructions: Select a librarian or other consumer health information provider (e.g., health educator) to interview. Your interview is to provide an opportunity for you to tour the information center find out what is the consumer health information provider’s perception of high quality reference service and key information tools used by this provider.

Write a “Newsletter article”, blog entry, a podcast or video introducing your Consumer Health Information Specialist to illustrate what you have summarizing your learned from this experience.

My interview with this endowed educational scholar bore a lot of fruits as I got to know most basic features and practices that are very key towards the provision of better consumer health information. Consumers have since remained to be the most integral part of the service
