Appendix A – Individual Reflective Report
Overview
Once the group report is completed, it is important to reflect upon the experience so that one
can incorporate this learning in both personal and professional decision making now and in the
future. Each team member is required to submit an individual reflective report.
Content
This reflective report should answer the question – “What principles or concepts best assist me
in making an ethical decision?”
The answer to this question is to be a critical reflection based upon the normative theories
studied in the course and the experience of the author when applying these to the specific
ethical issues debated in the group portion of the project.
This is a reflective report and is to be written in first person. The author needs to refer to those
ethical issues and arguments debated in the group report. References may be made to the
group report and/or news articles used in the debate. In terms of peer reviewed references, the
text is the only reference expected, however up to two additional peer reviewed references
could also be used. References are to be added at the end of the document.
The reflection is to be based upon Chapter 3. The section entitled Western Modernist Ethical
Theories, pages 91 to 109, which was used to address the normative theories used in the
project – this section provids an overview of why they are appropriate for the application of
business contexts.
Report Presentation
o *Between 1,000 words. (+ or – 10%)
o Title page containing project name, title, student name, and ID number, class number,
course name, instructor name, submission date and number of words.
o Correct APA in text citations and reference list.
o Plagiarized work will receive a zero grade.
o Page numbers are to be used in the bottom right hand corner, Arial font size 12 and
double spacing.
o A clear and logical structure
o Coherently expressed
