The theoretical framework that I will use for the development of this literature review is Madeleine M. Leininger’s “Culture care theory of diversity and universality”. Leininger’s theory is based on knowledge by health personnel, FNP in this case, of the culture of patients, regarding beliefs about health, values, and patterns of behavior in diseases. Leininger in her theory explains very well the importance of knowledge by health personnel about the beliefs and values of each patient. Professionals must work taking care of the culture and lifestyles of each. (Alligood,2014 ) Health professionals, after having the results on the prevalence of diabetes, will be able to develop this theory about “the diversity and universality of cultural care” by Madeleine Leininger and it will be easier for them to make an early diagnosis of the disease, indicate the correct treatment and prevent it, always keeping in mind the values and beliefs of this population, they must also be able to identify the universal characteristics that each group may have separately,
