Convergence of physical security and information technology is the coming together of cyber security and physical security. As a result, there are a lot of things that have become possible such as designing of IP networks that entail telephony and business critical systems, along with CCTV and other security systems making it possible to control the physical access to the building (Wells et al. 2014).  Previously, the convergence between physical security and information technology only involved the overlap between telecoms and computer networks (Zhou et al. 2016).
