How challenging do you think this assignment would be? To what degree will Nick’s start-up experience in the US help him be effective starting McDonald’s restaurants in China?
Nick will find the assignment challenging because he is not familiar with the Chinese market. The Chinese have a different culture from Americans, thus he will be required to develop entry and marketing strategies that conform to the needs and expectations of the target customers. However, his start-up experience in the United States will enable him to overcome these challenges.
