Zoot Suit is a film released on the 2nd of October 1981 in the US by Universal Pictures. The movie which runs for 103 minutes is written and directed by Luis Valdez and produced by Peter Burrell. Inspired by real-life events, the film describes the story of A Mexican-American gang falsely charged with murder. These events facilitate a racially based riot in all of Los Angeles which brings out the main agenda of this film as was in the 1980s (Valdez, 1981). The characters used in this film are all a representation of the real-life events that minority groups were going through in the US.
