Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word paper describing your personality traits based on your findings from the Big Five assessment tool. Include the following in your paper:

  • Summarize your results.
  • Propose solutions for working with other personality types using the information from the Big Five assessment and the underlying principles of trait theories.
  • Describe how your results from the assessment compare to the 16 personality factors. Explain how your results are relative to genetics.

Include an introduction and conclusion, and cite at least two sources other than your textbook.

Format your paper according to APA guidelines.

There is always the perception within different organizations that some of the employees are capable of performing better in one group and not the other. While the resolution to group the workers in a particular way is often a result of previous team performances, it would be important to appreciate the impact of individual personality traits on the said performance. In particular, studies on the trait theory indicate that there is always a likelihood that individual traits influence the performance of employees within the workplace and in their relation to others (Neal, Yeo, Koy, & Xiao, 2011). Consequently, most contemporary firms are taking the initiative to have their employees conduct personality tests, for a better understanding of their potential performance under different circumstances.
