Lean Operating Systems

Any organization is bound to experience some level of waste on some of its processes, whose management could improve the level of efficiency therein (Kleindorfer, Singhal, & Van Wassenhove, 2005). Space is one of the most common types of waste, as the different employees put some of the resources used in the production process. Additionally, overproduction could also be a challenge, where some of the materials are processed multiple times, despite their use in similar processes. This is especially common with hard copies of various documents.
