Module 4 Discussion 1
Drug Legalization
Leon-Guerrero (2016) refers to the work of Trevino and Richard (2002), who have stated that drug legalization in the United States is generally opposed by the medical and public health community, and adds that most research has shown illegal drugs to be harmful. Legalization proponents have suggested that stopping all illegal drug use is not realistic, and that a harm reduction approach may be more feasible.

Which side do you favor in this debate? Support your position with evidence from the literature (i.e., textbook, journals, etc.) and give specific examples to illustrate your points. Be sure to include appropriate citations and references (APA format). I expect a thoughtful and scholarly discussion on this topic.
