Remember the arch of the journey-remember the poses and the walking of the arch. What has changed, if anything, for you? How does this relate to the present module? Where on the arch are the elements of wisdom, optimal personality development, existentialism and authenticity, self-actualization, and personal growth.

Here are some of the questions from the final assignment that may be helpful to you:

What was your journey like?

If you were the hero/heroine in this how would the story unfold?

Think of a movie/movie series-a) The Matrix b) Lord of The Rings c)Harry Potter or d) a movie of your choice that has a clear hero/heroine with a mythical journey. Compare your journey to an unfolding of awareness and/or understanding. How are you different or similar to the hero/heroine of your choice?

“We find a model for learning how to live in stories about heroism. The heroic quest is about saying yes to yourself and, in so doing, becoming more fully alive and more effective in the world. For the hero’s journey is first about taking a journey to find the treasure of your true self, and then about returning home to give your gift to help transform the kingdom-and, in the process, your own life. The quest itself is replete with dangers and pitfalls, but it offers great rewards: the capacity to be successful in the world, knowledge of the mysteries of the human soul, the opportunity to find and express your unique gifts in the world, and to live in loving community with other people. The hero’s journey is first about taking a journey to find the treasure of your true self.”
