Science experts believe that anything that causes the brain to release dopamine can be addictive to an individual (Inoue & Nomura, 2016). Addiction can be as a result of people turning a habit into an obligation. There are several similarities, as well as differences between process addiction and chemical addiction. The major difference between the two as scientist illustrate is that with process addiction, individuals do not experience any physical signs and symptoms that are normally caused by chemical addictions (Inoue & Nomura, 2016).
