Review a local public media project
With hundreds of public radio and television stations around the country able to serve local communities, there are numerous organizations doing innovative and engaging initiatives. Here are four examples of recent public media initiatives. The assignment is to link to these four websites and read about these initiatives. After you’ve reviewed these, find ONE local community engagement initiative from a public tv or radio station and answer the questions below.

Pick one public media initiative to review. Please do some googling to find an initiative if you can; if not, I have some suggestions for some local public media initiatives here for you to choose from the document that I uploaded.
1 – Pick an initiative
2 – Read about the initiative and learn as much as you can about it.
3 – Answer the following questions
What is the initiative? Explain its mission or purpose.
Who are the organizations that have created the project?
What city or town is the project focused on?
if the information is available, who funds the program?
Who is the audience the program serves? Describe them.
What kind of impact and public service does it provide?
Describe your overall thoughts about the program? What are several things you like about the project?
If you were responsible for the project is there anything you would add or do differently?
