Life-size sculpture and architecture of the Greek Archaic period were greatly influenced by Egyptian artistic traditions. Using examples covered in our readings and VoiceThread lectures, discuss the ways in which Archaic sculpture and/ or architecture are related to Egyptian examples and how they differ. One of the most important examples would be the Kouros sculptures discussed in VoiceThread and the readings for this week, however, there are many other examples. I’m excited to read what you come up with!
