Details: Students will find two news articles from two different countries that discuss the same international event, and then will provide commentary and analysis. Students will be asked to identify the central actors and/or processes of the event (i.e. what’s going on and who’s involved), how the event is portrayed in the articles (noting any key differences in how the event is depicted), and share their insights (i.e. why do you think the story was represented this way? Do the articles say anything about the host country’s views? Was anything notable left out? What sort of solution is presented, and what do you think of it?) 500 words.
