Cholera is one of the leading fatal yet treatable waterborne disease that causes dehydration and diarrhea (Craun, 2018). Cholera illness causes intestinal infections that are quite harmful. However, cholera symptoms vary greatly in different individuals ranging from mild to severe illness condition. Cholera stems from Vibrio cholera bacteria. It originates from the consumption of unsafe water contaminated by human wastes. Constant diarrhea caused by cholera results to sunken eyes, wrinkled skin, and dehydration. Administering lots of fluids, antibiotics, and IV fluids are some of the ultimate treatment for contagious cholera.  Antibiotics assists in reducing the duration of illness and fluid requirements. IV fluids on the other side are administered to reduce dehydration.  Cholera is an infectious diseases that may lead to loss of lives easily especially when patients are not given lots of drinks.
