1. What has historically been the best way to deal with the stigmatization that was originally associated with AIDS patients? Give examples from the video and/or the American Yawp document.

2. The acquittal of police officers charged with violence against Black Americans has frequently led to mass protests and even riots. What explanation can be given for the riots in Los Angeles in 1992? Is there a similarity with the 1965 riots in Watts (a neighborhood in Los Angeles)? If the recommendations of the Kerner Commission (National Advisory Commission on Civil Disorders) had been implemented, could the 1992 riots be averted?
