Discussion # 2: Pre & Post 9/11 rules
Pre 911, Liquids, Gels, and Aerosols were not regulated like they are today. Shoes were also allowed to be worn into the checkpoints and carrying a box cutter was an acceptable practice. But today’s TSA prohibited items list makes many people scratch their heads. Scissors that are less than 4” in length from where they connect are fine to carry onboard an aircraft, but a small “jackknife” is not allowed. A cane is allowed but a golf club isn’t. Take a look at what is and isn’t allowed on its website. Take a few moments to either support or disagree with items on the list.

Your response should be between 250-750 words and needs to include at least two citations at the end of the post. Think of your posting in terms of a contribution to a dialogue, not a writing exercise. This is particularly important since we don’t meet in person.
