Purpose: The student will identify a phenomenon of interest (POI) of relevance to the student’s advanced nursing practice specialty. The student will develop a scholarly paper that discusses the significance of the POI to the advanced nursing specialty, the impact of Analytic and Continental philosophy on how the student views and evaluates the POI, and the Ways of Knowing as it relates to the POI. The knowledge and skills gained in this assignment will be important beyond the context of this course and will apply in future advanced nursing specialty roles.
