Cuban Democracy Documentary

Introduction

Cuba is a single-party communist country. It has been headed by Fidel from 1959 who has been succeeded by his brother after death. The state restricts individuals as well as organizations from owning property. This is because the state controls and manages nearly all the resources across the land. Entrepreneurs have not been an exception is this journey. However, the recent reforms have allowed some Cuban entrepreneurs to venture into the private sector. For instance, there are several small private enterprises across the land. These small private businesses had exploded recently when the Cuban Government allowed the private sector to operate within the confines of the country. There are other entrepreneurial associations within the land such as The Havanna-based Association of Businessmen.
