Module 2 – Creative Data Gathering
Two categories of creative data gathering are hard data and soft data. Using the text and at
least one other data source, discuss one type of hard data and one type of soft data. Give an
example of how each one can be used in a health or human service organization to determine
performance in a particular area.
Note: Many students choose to simply Google key terms like “hard vs. soft data” and use the
first one or two search results that appear (e.g. Objectivity or Simplicable). Do not do this. Go
