Investigate different image resources and locate 10 different flask-shaped vessels that you find interesting. Copy and paste the image into a digital document, and write your observations concerning each of the 10 examples’ form, surface (textures, patterns, lines, design), and color.

Also, please include an 11th image of the vessel that you would like to explore for the Hard Slab Project. You may use an image of personal drawing, or upload any form you’ve discovered during your research. We will review the form together before you begin construction of the project.

· Vertical and horizontal lines to give the bottle a unique shape.

· Smooth uniform texture throughout the bottle.

· Footed bottom to stand upright.

· Medium sized bottle.

· Short narrow neck.

· Stoneware.

· Contrasting artwork in the center of the piece.

Gold mark Art

· The potter employed a simplistic design.

· The bottle has a small handle from its top to the back making it unique.

· The bottle has a smooth rim but a coarse uniform texture throughout its body.

· Brownish red in color fitted with white specs.
