2-1 Journal: Topic Selection and Literature Review Practice

This is everything that is needed. We will be using this big scan throughout the milestones as well as the final project. there are three research designs and they are: differential, correlational, quasi-experimental, and experimental design. I also chose Track One Mental Health, so make sure you include that as well.  Also add the correlational design into this as well cause i think that it perfectly fits with the track and topic for final project

The article is named “If Only I Din’t Embarrass Myself in Front of the class!” Social Anxiety and Upward Counterfactual Thinking. It is written by three authors from Ryerson University, Monforton, Vickers and Antony.

The article’s main purpose is to describe the aspect of upward counterfactual thinking (U-CFT) in relation to social anxiety. The article specifically addresses selected participants who are put in different situations of anxiety then examine their reaction to these events (Monforton, Vickers, & Antony, 2012). Most individuals tend to have negative reactions in the event of U-CFT on past events that were unsatisfactory. The article also focuses on the cognitive models of SAD which show that the lack of self-belief can lead to incompetence behaviour in social settings which leads to a negative perception of others.
