Business Plan Project
You will select and write a Business Plan on a topic/issue of individual interest but more importantly, of relevance to the course material.

The objectives of the Business Plan assignment include the following:

♦ Understand the diversity and complexity of African peoples, cultures, and societies

Comprehend the opportunities that Africa offer international business
Appreciate the perspective that African cultures and histories offer international business and international relations
Gain cultural competency on African countries and societies
Design business plans for Africa that are based on African norms and cultural practices
Develop and refine independent research and writing skills
♦ Use the objectives above as tools to expand students’ horizon through a system of self-discovery and understanding of the issues, themes, and ideas relevant to this class.

a) Business Plan Proposal

Formatting Guidelines on the Business Plan Proposal:
One page (including “Works Cited”)
Times New Roman 12 point font, double-spaced, 1” margin all around.
Select an African country of interest
Select a product/service that you want to produce/provide and/or market. This product or service must be produced or provided within a for-profit-business model.
Use the information in items two and three above to come up with a name for your company. This company name (with the country of operation in parenthesis) will now become the title of your Business Plan Proposal.
In a paragraph, describe the selected product/service line in item 3 that you wish to produce or provide.
Put together a list of a minimum of five academic sources/references (with full bibliographic information).
For books, the bibliographic information must include: author(s), title of work, place of publication, publisher, and year of publication.
For Journal articles, the bibliographic information must include: author(s), title of article, name of Journal, Volume, Number, year, and beginning and ending page numbers.
Use MLA Style of Documentation.
Wikipedia will not be accepted as a source in this assignment.
Your proposed Business adventure in Africa must be approved via this one-page Proposal before you can start on the substantive Business Plan. If and when you change your mind on a Business Proposal that has been approved, you must write and submit another Proposal for approval before you can start researching and writing on the new topic.
No later than 9:00 PM (ARIZONA TIME), Friday, September 22, you must turn in this one-page proposal on your Business Plan for approval.
The Business Plan Proposal is worth 5 points. The 5 points will be activated when you turn in your final Business Plan that is based on the approved proposal.

b) Business Plan

Your Business Plan must have the following components and sub-headings:

Title page (with Your Name and Company Name as approved)
Company Description
This section provides information on what your company does, a description of your Product/Service line
1-2 pages
Market Analysis
This section provides information on your business industry and the general market for your Product/Service line
1-2 pages
Cultural Environment of Market
This section provides information on the society within which you plan to operate. The focus here will be on the cultural practices and norms of the people that you will serve.
Between 2-4 pages.
Business Suitability for Cultural Environment
This section provides an assessment of the suitability of your business venture, product/service, and practices to the cultural milieu of your business domain.
Between 2-4 pages.
Formatting style for Business Plan:

Use MLA documentation style.
Business Plan must be between 8 and10 pages (excluding title page, illustrations [not required], and references)
All pages must be numbered.
1” margins, Times New Roman 12 point font-type and size, and double-spaced
Final Business Plan must have no less than ten academic references (articles from peer-reviewed journals and books).
You will be penalized for not meeting any of these requirements.
hi, thought the time limit is 1 day, I just need the Plan Proposal in one day, which is due tomorrow.

You can take more time to finish the plan. I might give the feedback of the proposal in few days and you can do the plan at that time.

So use the one day limit to do the proposal. I wish this proposal would be really good.
