A performance appraisal is defined as an organized evaluation of how employees in companies and organizations perform their duties. Mainly, performance appraisal conducted yearly and twice a year. Performance ratings help a company through directing employee’s behavior towards achieving the set goals as employees know what is expected of them. Also, performance appraisal helps companies understand their strengths and weaknesses which are crucial in every company (Aguinis, 2009). Many of the evaluation processes examine the performance, the discipline issues and the meeting of the company’s goals and objectives.
