Art is a visual material, applicable in daily activities or for aesthetic purposes, whose formation is based on a particular specialized aspect of the population in which it is made. Consequently, the material could possess a particular meaning to the creator, with ties to the cultural, social, or political aspects of his or her environment, and one that may not be necessarily understood by members of an alternative culture.
