After reading “Six Problem-Solving fundamentals” select a problem in your professional, student or private life worth solving and document how you can leverage the information in Cochran’s article to systematically define, root cause, develop alternative solutions, choose and execute a solution, and verify effectiveness of your solution. Document a summary of your ideas to look for root causes and alternative solutions for your selected problem in 2-3 paragraphs (at least 150-200 words for each paragraph). As a student, poor time management will be the primary problem that I will face while I am studying for my degree. Poor time management is mostly seen when I, as a student fail to deliver my assignments on time. The deadline that will be required to deliver the assignment or handling other tasks will pass away because of this issue. Hence, it is one of primarily problems I face as a student.
