Research, identify, and discuss the six key functions of a business’s operations.
The requirements below must be met for your paper to be accepted and graded:
- Write between 500 – 750 words (approximately 2 – 3 pages) using Microsoft Word.
- Attempt APA style, see example below.
- Use font size 12 and 1” margins.
- Include cover page and reference page.
- At least 60% of your paper must be original content/writing.
- No more than 40% of your content/information may come from references.
- Use at least two references from outside the course material, preferably from EBSCOhost. Text book, lectures, and other materials in the course may be used, but are not counted toward the two reference requirement.

Introduction
A business’s operation has been broken down into six key categories; Production function, Marketing function, Finance function, Human resource function, Management Information and lastly Innovation (Slack & Lewis, 2002). All these functions play important roles in sustaining and ultimately the growth of a business setting.
I shall, therefore, discuss the functions and their importance in a business setting.
Production Function
This is the production of goods and services through the essential organization of labour, money and other resources. This function is under Production Manager who ensures production is organized and fulfils his/her functions which include; Performing all production function at the minimum cost, ensuring the product meets the requirements, that is, quality-wise and quantity-wise and that the delivery date is met.
