THE ORIGIN OF NEGRO SLAVERY
Taking a look back in the history of slavery in the new world, it was a term used for the majority of the Americas, which included the western side. The new world was a period when the Europeans migrated to the Americas in the 16th century. During this time, geographers were expanding the horizon as they included the old worlds such as Africa, Asian and Europe. For that reason, it was also termed as the age of discovery. During this time there was hereditary enslavement based on color. There was the enslavement of peoples from the African descent, and the nature of black racism was intense (Eric Williams, 103).
