This assignment is intended to encourage you to think about what the current global pandemic is doing to the function of management, both in your home country and globally. How has this global pandemic affected the functions of management; the various forms of business ownership; human resources and organizational behaviors? How have businesses, governments, and civil society been affected? This is important because the COVID-19 pandemic is not going to be resolved or disappear in the near future. Will the traditional approaches to management in all segments of the economy and socio-economy remain relevant?

For this assignment, you will need to refer to the text “Management – The Covid Effect,” by D. Delcorde, Kendell Hunt Publishing, 2020.

From this text, select a theme and case/scenario from either Part 1 (Functions of management and areas of specialization) or Part 2 (Transversing themes) that are of interest to you.

Each case/scenario is accompanied by a series of questions that you are required to answer. In structuring your responses, it is important to link back to the management concepts that we have covered in our synchronous classes.

Your written report is due at the end of week ten (March 28). Overall, your report (excluding appendices) should be a maximum of ten, 1.5-spaced pages (please notice the spacing difference here), no smaller than 12 font.
