Executive Summary

The affordable care act of 2010 had some goals that were expected to critically determine how healthcare organizations operate, especially from the business perspective. The ACA had some primary objectives such as making health care insurance more available and affordable by providing premium tax credits that lower healthcare costs for low-income households. The act also sought to expand the Medicaid program to cover the low income, childless and nondisabled adults who were not eligible to Medicare before.  Generally, the ACA goal was to support all the methods of Medicare delivery that were designed to lower the health care cost.
