- Do you think that those greeting cards showed how ageism is at work in our society? Why or why not?

- Are there other examples of advertising, either television or radio that is also an example of ageism that you have heard or viewed?
- How do you think that ageism passes from one generation to the next, or is this unique to each generation?

The generalization and discrimination of an individual due to his or her age are commonly referred to as ageism. The elderly are the most who fall victims discrimination and prejudice of ageism, due to their old age. According to Nelson (2004), people in the third world tend to categorize and define people according to their race, sex, and age, a negative aspect since it brings about a trait of discrimination in the society. Therefore, people should appreciate the effort old people put in their career works and instead of discriminating them, people should appreciate the contributions the old make in the workplace and support them in achieving their KPIs and goals set.
