3. Chapter 3 indicates that “Reproduction” is one example of “Basic Family Functions”: Is this an inclusive term to include all types of families? Explain your answer
4. Chapter 3 discusses the “Chronosystem Influences on Families”: Political, Immigration Policies, Foreign Policies and Domestic Policies. Provide one specific example connected to any current event in Political, Immigration Policies, Foreign Policies and Domestic Policies, that is making and/or will be making and impact in the lives of children and families in California and/or our country and /or our world. There is no perfect or ideal type of family despite cultural and religious values and practices that families should possess certain features. A family should constitute individuals who live together and treat each other well. Thus, personal relations are the major determinants of a family rather than blood relations. The outlook supported by “Our Family: A Film about family diversity,” which shows that there are various factors that affect the dynamics of family. In the video, there are children being taken care of same-sex and heterosexual parents and both biological and adapted parents.
