Experiences at the Financial Aid Office

The major objective of a financial aid professional is assist needy students to achieve their academic goals by providing them the financial support they need. Consequently, I had to conduct my duties in a professional and ethical manner. While working at the office, I had to advocate for the well-being of the student through being aware of their needs and interests. Therefore, I had to ensure students received the financial support, which met their needs (Rentz & MacKinnon, 2004). My approach resembled the American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics, which requires the counselors’ undertaking to be aimed at enhancing their clients’ well-being.
