            A communicable or an infectious disease is an illness which as a result of definite biological agents has the capability of being indirectly or directly conveyed from human to human, from the environment to human, from animal to animal or from animal to human. For an infectious disease to occur or be transmitted to an individual, a process involving six related components need to occur.

            First, there must be the existence of an etiological agent. They include; protozoa, bacteria, virus, fungi among others.
