Societal roles have played a significant role in the development of family law as we have seen the court system using some of the testimonies by members of the society to determine issues in family law. Societal roles mostly include matters about the lifestyle and interactions of people within the community. To others, societal roles include being friendly and considerate to one’s neighbour and being “your brother’s keeper”.
