The early American society was composed of both dependent and marginalized groups. Since way back, the American society experienced racial segregation, where marginalized groups such as African Americans, Latin Americans, Asian Americans and Mexican Americans experienced racism and discrimination in the access of facilities both social and economic such as employment, transportation and health access (Marable, 2015). The quandary of minority groups in early American Societies was based on the reasoning that since the colonial era the groups never the rights to own and be proud associates of America since they were brought for the purpose of being slaves, therefore, had no rights to enjoy American social, economic and political freedom.
