We are very vulnerable to the various social weapons, which others can use to harm or exploit us. One of the weapons that have worked successfully on me is the contrast principle. While in college, I ended my friendship with my best friend after becoming close to one of my classmates who assisted me to do my assignments and also assisted me financially. She made me believe my best friend was not a good person because she was not always supportive. Also, I refused to buy a phone I was offered at a shopping mall in my home town because it was not iPhone.
