One of the primary merits of the chain of causation as presented is that it begins and ends with the desire for survival. Therefore, one can easily term the process as a chain of activities as the different activities begin and end in the same stage. For one to survive in a fair market, he or she must do something different from the rest of the competition, which exemplifies the necessity for knowledge within the market. Such knowledge is driven by the desire to provide consumers with the best services possible, which further explains the need to serve the consumer interest.
