Go to “Google Maps” and take a look at your home neighborhood OR your Penn State campus. First, describe the sort of urban design that you see. For example, what sort of physical characteristics make up your town or city (or campus)? How are dwellings and businesses integrated into that design? Then, discuss (1) what is good about that design and (2) at least one change that you would make to the community’s physical design that would make it a better place to live.

The ideal form of dwelling unit should be comprised of their own bathroom, kitchen, as well as sleeping facilities that may focus on more of a single family and it, may as well be inside, attached or even detached from the main house. The dwelling unit should be convenient and spacious enough for design purposes, and also for easy accessibility. The model which makes for a better community is the one that the houses are all designed the same, they are not too close to each other, and that there are well-designed paths that create an easy movement around the community.
