Discussion on Ethical Issues in Information Management
According to Cilliers’ journal, “Evaluation of information ethical issues among undergraduate students: An exploratory study,” ICT plays a critical role in the spread of information in institutions of higher learning. Students can access any information they want at any time of the day. However, the use of digital technologies to access information has brought about certain unique challenges, such as the confidentiality and privacy of the users of the information systems. These sentiments are echoed in Paradice and Dejoie journal, “The ethical decision-making processes of information systems workers,” which claim that the users of information management systems face several ethical dilemmas.
