From a religious perspective, spirituality entails believing in a supernatural being, God. The belief enables individuals to participate in communal practice, such as attending church services. Therefore, spirituality in religion is based on the belief of the existence of God, who is the protector of all people and things on the universe. However, the definition of spirituality changes when religion is excluded.
