China’s Modernization

Question One

Every economy in the contemporary society has a clear view of how the development therein was achieved. For instance, the development of the American economy is primarily traceable to the increased industrialization following the introduction of the rail system in the later part of the nineteenth century. At the time, China was relatively an underdeveloped country, with the current levels of progress in the country being traceable to the Great leap forward in the mid-twentieth century, and the Cultural Revolution therein. In essence, the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural revolution in China was essential for the country as it helped shape the country’s economy and politics, well enough to the extent of setting it up for as much development as it has experienced in the contemporary society.
