Academic journals are not publications such as newspapers, magazines, books, organizational or governmental white papers, or unpublished conference presentations. If you are still unclear, do an Internet search on peer reviewed academic journals or talk to the instructor.
  • References are checked. If the instructor finds no evidence of how a cited article was actually used in the paper, the student will be requested to show how the article cited was included. If an article other than the two required cited academic journal articles are listed on the reference page is not cited within the paper, points will be deducted. Remember, the paper will not be graded if the two required academic article are listed on the reference page but not properly cited within the paper.
  • Additional sources can be used for additional points. Wikipedia, our textbook, or general dictionaries are not to be included as references and will not be accepted for points.
