Your Role: You are an independent strategy consultant. Having heard about your reputation for insight in
digital mastery and product remastering for corporate clients, senior execs ask for your help as their company
transitions to a new business model. They engage you to provide a written strategy brief which they will present
to their CEO.
Apply ideas from readings and class, especially business models, employee engagement, and the implications of
creative roles on teams, and strategic leadership.
Prepare an 8-10 pp written brief with these elements:
1. One line description of the target company
Company, focus or mission.
Disruptive Product or Service – opportunities, challenges
Briefly describe the product or service (name, function)
Consider obstacles to success, challenges, and what the company should do to overcome them.
Business Model and Value Chain
Based on the information in the full case document (and any other info you can find online), frame
ERHa business model for the new product using the Business model canvas.
Provide a Business Model Canvas diagram and describe the product/service offering in terms of:
Customer segments, relationships, channels
Key activities, resources and partners
Revenue and cost structure
4. Team Engagement Strategy
From the case material, comment on the company’s approach to the following:
Governance of digital teams (W, ch 7)
Engagement, competence and creative roles (R, ch 7), and
Strategic leadership (W, ch 3 and 8)
